Individual Counseling

I have extensive experience providing individual therapy to adults, adolescents, and children.  I utilize the cognitive behavioral therapy type of modality.  This is a short-form type of therapy directed at current issues and is based on the idea that the way an individual thinks and feels affects the way he or she behaves.

Depression

When you’re depressed, it can seem overwhelming.  People can feel like they can never get out from under a dark cloud.  However, you should know that the most severe depression can be treated.  So, if your depression is keeping you from living a happy life, you should certainly seek help.

Couples Therapy

Many couples go years without seeking professional help thinking that they can solve their issues on their own.  As a result, they develop toxic communication patterns leading them further and further away from the loving and compassionate partner they began dating years ago.  They end up having a miserable experience.  I have experience working with couples in order to assist them in exploring the underlying issues that lead to conflict.

Forensic Evaluations

I have had over 5 years of experience handling various types of forensic evaluations.  Those include competency evaluations, mentally-disordered offender evaluations, ability to waive jury trial, among others.  I provide detailed evaluations that will help clarify mental health issues that might be facing the patient.

Parenting Difficulties

Many parents have a lot of difficulty raising their children.  I have had extensive experience working with parents in dealing with their children as well as adolescents.  I have also provided many parenting classes to those parents who are willing to explore positive approaches in dealing with their difficult children.

Anxiety

Anxiety can be debilitating!  This intense, excessive, and often persistent worry affect the person's everyday life.  However, there is help.  I have experience providing therapy to individuals who suffer from anxiety in a calm and peaceful non-judgmental environment.

Family Therapy

Family therapy is a great way to address specific issues that affect family life and cohesiveness.  Family counseling aims to promote strong understanding and collaboration among all family members in order to help them deal with the problems of one or more individuals.
